For example all of the letter N’s in a cryptogram might stand for the letter B in the decoded quote. Aside from letters nothing else in the quote has been changed, e.g. spacing and punctuation. In the case of this word puzzle game, all quotes are from relatively famous to very famous individuals. Using your knowledge of the English language and grammar, see if you can decode the quote!

Update-1/19/26 After a week, I've really enjoyed the game allot. Helps keep the mind sharp. Wish there was way to compete with others, like top player list or something. I made good time on some. one was 1min 26sec. Maybe have different levels of difficulty also. Also, I'd gladly pay for no ads. The ads are very annoying. I never played cryptoquip games till today in a newspaper. When done, I looked for more & found this app. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Lots of fun!

Not too bad, except for occasional errors. Sometimes words are misspelled which screws up the ability to figure some puzzles out quicker. For example, SKEPTICAL is the correct spelling. It was misspelled using this version, SCEPTICAL. No wonder things weren't adding up as I went along. If those adding quotes would ensure they do a spell check before submitting, that would be great. Or the app creators need to spell check submissions before allowing them to be played. Whatever is easier.

My father coached me in solving the Crytoquote, and playing this version brings that warmth back. It is well-designed, clean and classic. No stress: no time limits and all the hints you want. If there are ads I haven't noticed them. I highly recommend it for word lovers. I still love Cryptograms, but must confess that I use the "check" feature more often. Go for it!!
