Ratings and reviews

This is a review if the bank rather than the app as I have not had the chance to use the app yet. It had been over 2 weeks since I filled in the application (which takes much longer than the advertised 5 minutes) and provided additional information requested over email. The bank still hasn't opened my account, and no replies/updates from DKB. I've had much better customer journey at Revolut and even N26. DKB still has a long way to go..

It is impossible to activate the app without having a German phone number. I did not receive the text message with the activation code on my US cell phone, and the customer service confirmed that this is a known problem. At least, I can use the old outdated version of the app because it requires a TAN for activation. Die App kann nur aktiviert werden, wenn sie auf einem Gerät mit deutscher Telefonnummer installiert ist. Der Aktivierungscode wird nicht über internationale Nummern zugestellt.

This app simply stopped working for me at some point. I get the error message "SCA process cannot be created (...)" and then later an "Es tut uns Leid, dass..." error message, both messages give no hint as to what might be the problem. The old DKB app also doesn't work any more - no error message, it just goes back to the login screen. Both apps worked before.
