DeQua is a navigation app optimized for Venice that cares about your privacy.
On DeQua you can search for addresses and then geolocate them precisely and accurately. You can also calculate routes on foot, by public transport, but also by rowing or motor boat. You can also look for routes avoiding high water and routes that are accessible with as few bridges as possible.
DeQua is developed respecting privacy: the backend of the app is open-source, and user data is not tracked except for basic analytic functions, however respectful of user privacy. The maps and all services are internalized to prevent external entities from accessing user data.
The name DeQua comes directly from the Venetian "de qua" ("from here" in Italian), which is the typical answer you get in Venice when you ask for directions!
