About this game

This is an offline game pre-loaded with encrypted historical facts from Wikipedia.

When you solve each cryptogram, links to more information are revealed to be perused at leisure (requires internet – articles are not pre-loaded). Or hit New Game to work on the next puzzle.

Some features:

– Spaces and punctuation are optional (long-click the cryptogram): Choose your own challenge!
– The year for each fact is given as a hint.
– Click the Add button (bottom right) to get more messages encoded with the same substitution alphabet. (More text makes the puzzle easier.)
– The cursor highlights all spaces with the same cypher letter and edits them simultaneously.
– The keyboard indicates which letters have been used (green) or over-used (red).
– Clear all guesses at once or give up and try a new cypher from the Options Menu (upper right corner).
– View your previously solved cyphers in View History (Options Menu).
– No ads or tracking.
