Games idea is neat, and there's no ads or microtransactions. The game itself is a bit flawed, because while you can have some interesting decisions, the gulf in power between various die faces is huge, making "rolling the right faces of your dice" the most important skill. If the game weren't so heavily focused on the Tactical face and the Scanner face weren't so crippling, the game would be better.

Ultimately it's a game where you're asked to manage resources thoughtfully, but the outcome is largely random. You'll never be able to win every time. There are rolls that can bring you from full health to dead in 1 turn. The enemies are revealed and have a chance to àctivate before you can interact with them. A 3 enemy combo can kill you, where 2 of them came out after your turn. Also, a lot of your dice are very often, literally useless especially if you're at full health, that's not fun.

Outstanding implementation of a print-and-play favorite. The animations are appealing without being intrusive, and the music is subtle enough to set the mood without drawing too much attention to itself. And it's completely free -- the "in-app purchases" label is only because there's an option to tip the developer. Highly recommend this game.
