About this app

Dengue Connect is a digital application which aims to promote dengue prevention practices through social networking methods. This mobile app aims to support the Dengue Reduction through Education, Awareness and Monitoring in Schools 2024 (DREAMS’24) initiative led by the Indian Council of Medical Research-Vector Control Research Centre (ICMR-VCRC) in collaboration with Department of Health and Family Welfare and the Department of School Education, Government of Puducherry. The Department of Computer Science, Pondicherry University (PU DoCS) has developed this mobile application based on the inputs from scientists of ICMR VCRC.
Our mission is to empower school students and teachers take an active role in dengue prevention efforts. The mobile application serves as a platform to record their activities against dengue. It provides basic information on dengue fever, mosquito breeding and control. It also enables volunteer reports to be directly communicated to concerned health authorities for timely action. Through intersectoral collaboration, Dengue Connect aims to create a healthier and safer environment.
