I'm baffled why an event the size of Edinburgh Fringe can't get a decent app. For the 2024 version, I wasn't even able to log in to view shows. This year, I can log in, see the listings but can't actually buy tickets. App says added to basket, but then basket is empty. It also crashes.

The app is preoccupied with the internet connection. When it decides that the connection is gone, it quits working. This happens half of the time when you access the app, even though the connection is fine. Even when the app opens OK, it commonly loses all my booked shows. When you uninstall it and reinstall, the shows may come back. What a disrespect for the Festival customers!

This App gets worse every year. I don't know how they manage it, but they do. Search is not working at the moment. Some shows can be opened but they don't have anything on the dates tab so you can't book them. Some have nothing but a spinning wheel. And setting favourites doesn't work in case you tried that in the vain hope that you might come back later after they have fixed it. It was better in the old days with the paper program and a handful of paper tickets.
