Terrible App and Customer Service - Downloaded this app in Bali for Calls and Data. So the app acts as the e-sim, you don't actually download an e-sim and then activate it in your settings. Once downloaded, I had no data or calling. I had to connect to the hotel wifi to even contact Fonus and talk to Customer Service since I couldn't do it from their app. Sondeleted the app after 30mins and no refund given.

Fonus? More like Fony. From day 1 y'all have had the shittiest service ever. Maybe if you focused more on having a stable connection then getting dropped calls every time would be a huge step. Edit : 05/27/25 It still boggles my mind how this app and company still can't figure out services and connections. Your messaging system still sucks, messages don't send half the time, so you have to close the app, then reopen it. 0/5 stars. Do not recommend this app or company. At all.

I have used this now for 5 months in 4 different counties with good success. It's not perfect, but it is way better than most other roaming plans which cost a fortune. No issues with receiving texts, a few hiccups with calls over WiFi. Considering changing my whole family over after a mostly successful trial.
