*Number of shades per gateway depends on many factors, including the number of remotes added. Each shade associates exclusively with one gateway; you cannot control the same shade with multiple gateway devices. If a home requires more shades to be lifted, simply add another gateway device.

NOTE: This update represents a major revision enhancement supporting many brand new features including OTA firmware upgrades to the shade motor. This requires a fresh download of the app after deleting the old revision. Those that are upgrading should ensure their credentials are saved during the delete process. Their project data and account will be autofilled in when the new version is loaded as long as they use the same email and account.

Ratings and reviews

1. It almost always gets stuck on the loading screen after opening the app, if you haven't used it in a few hours or days. To fix involves clearing all its data, logging in again, then sometimes having to close out of the app again to get the gateway to appear after yet again opening the app. Once that's done, it seems to work okay. 2. The button to raise the shade when setting the upper limit actually lowers the cellular shade instead of raising it. The lowering button works correctly. So, there's no way to really set the limit using the app.

Yesterday I gave this app 2 stars, today I would give it zero if I could. After attempting to go through setup on my and my husband's Android phones and failing multiple times due to a variety of error messages in the app, thankfully we were able to dig an old iPhone up and complete setup on the iOS app. I don't think anyone is testing this app to confirm the setup flow works. Awful experience.

Buyer beware! Only works on 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. So in my case, I have a Netgear Orbi Mesh set up with my router. It will only use one or the other (2.4 or 5), but not both. So even if I go through the hassle of switching it to 2.4, then all devices in my house would have to run on 2.4 as well. Lazy developers in that it won't work with 5ghz. They apparently don't share this tidbit with installers before they sell this piece of junk. That was $600.00 thrown down the drain. Wonderful!
