About this app

Grams Light Weight Approximate allows you to use the tilt sensors of your device to roughly estimate tilt angel and based on this angle roughly estimate the weight of small object such as coins and jewelry. Impossible? It's possible. Think back to elementary school physics and balance. It's a very similar principle. Force, Weight, Leverage, etc. It's technically possible. The only matter is the accuracy, which directly depends on the conditions under which the measurements are made. When calibrated, result of estimate under ideal conditions can be compared to the real weight of the weighed object. However, we cannot guarantee this as it depends on your device, whether your sensors are properly calibrated, how you balance your device and other conditions including but not limited to: the material your device is made of, the diameter of the surface on which the device is balanced, the size of the device, the location of the weight, the coefficients of friction between all objects involved in the measurement, humidity, air temperature and velocity, and more. In addition, the rough result obtained is the result of rounding up the changes in device tilt and calculating based on this data. To ensure the best measurement conditions, we recommend performing a test measurement with an object whose weight is known in advance. This way, you can balance your device optimally and measure other objects more accurately. But in any case, the result you get is an rough weight estimate. For this reason, it is highly recommended to use a real digital pocket scale or a digital kitchen scale for accurate weight estimate, if you have one.

The weight must create a tilt change for the application to work properly. To do this, place your phone on a simple ruler, than place it in a curved surface(like a pencil) so that the device tilts when a weight is placed on the ruler. The app will then take a few sensor reading, perform the necessary calculations and give a rough estimate of weight in grams.

Please use the app just as shown in the picture in the app! To see the instructions anytime you want just click on the question mark in the upper right corner of the app.

Attention! Do NOT place the weight on the phone screen. Place the weight only on the ruler.

you can't use the app without paying something to use it🫤. Also just to warn you, this app allows you to balance things on your phone to tell the difference between the weight, apparently involving a pencil a ruler and your phone lol.

Downloaded the app and once it was calibrated set a coin on it and it didn't read anything at all. I took it off of the screen and it all the sudden popped up. 1.2 g and I could push on the screen and it would only move about half of a gram and I would be pushing down with at least a couple pounds worth of pressure.

Doesn't work. The developer would like clarification, so here we go. I calibrated according to instructions to the point of looking up my phones exact dimensions etc. No number that came up was repeatable or reliable despite being a 3 week old phone (can't blame sensors) I suspect this app is just a way for someone to make some cash off ad revenue. Nothing more

What do you mean by "Doesn't work"? The accuracy of measurements depends entirely on how you calibrate your device. Try to follow the instructions clearly.
