HYYP is a professional grade Smart Home Solution, provided by your monitoring and armed response supplier. Because when your family or business' security is at stake, DIY doesn't make the grade.

With HYYP you can:
- manage your alarm system remotely - arm in multiple configurations, disarm, bypass troublesome zones, and view the live status of your alarm
- access a live event log so you know exactly who did what, and when
- control user access to your alarm - add visitors to your home, control access rights of employees, all without them ever being given a code to your alarm
- receive real-time notifications - know what is happening as it happens, and control user access to event notifications
- respond to an event by calling your monitoring company or critical contacts direct from the app

Ratings and reviews

The alarm system works well. Notifications come through in a matter of seconds, and sounds are individually configurable so you can tell the different types of events by ear. Along and disarming the system is generally quick. The overall UX of the app, at least on modern Android devices, is subpar. The back button functions inconsistently, and there are no widgets, Google home integration, Android auto control, etc.

The system (Hyyp IP module and this app) used to work relatively OK. But recently became useless. I reported the faults but no proper progress gets made. First the IP unit would constantly loose connection with IDS HYYP server. So I was informed to do a firmware update. I took the unit in for a reflash at IDS Samrand...thanks. After that the connectivity issue was resolved. But now the app does not reliably work, updates and arming etc takes like 12 plus hrs. Useless combo sadly.

In general it works well. But the app dropped me twice already. On these occasions I was not able to connect with my system. The first time it I couldn't arm or disarm. After 2hours or so when I was 200km away it showed offline. I don't know why. The second time I armed from my phone, but it didn't update on my app for a couple of minutes.
