The point of this app is to make ordering ahead fast and convenient while still allowing me to support smaller local shops. Right now there is a bug that forces me to log in every single time I open it. It defeats the fast and convenient aspect, and more than once is has discouraged me from what would have otherwise been a quick impulse coffee after groceries or something. Loved the app before that bug was introduced, but the bug has been around for months! For now I'm docking a star for it.

I loaded money onto the Joe app a long time ago when my local coffee shop accepted it. They stopped accepting payments through Joe and now I have money trapped in their system that I can't get refunded and can't spend anywhere because apparently no stores use the app around here. plus, the search function and map don't work, which makes it a little difficult to find shops that accept it even when traveling! It's basically a scam, imo.

You have to preload credit to the app in minimum increments of $10, so you will always carry some residual unused amount. I requested a refund of the remaining balance and never received it (it's supposed to be issued to the credit card on file). Yet my balance on the app is showing $0. Customer service has been slow and after several follow ups over the weeks they are finally investigating. Don't use; you'll end up losing money that you could have went to tip your barista.
