· From issuing a personal customs clearance code for overseas direct purchases to paying health insurance premiums and year-end tax settlements! The convenience you can experience with KB Kookmin Certificate continues to expand.

■ Troubleshooting Guide

- If your KB Kookmin Certificate is not visible on your LG phone,
☞ This issue occurs because your LG phone's operating system (OS) has not been updated to comply with Google's development policies. In this case, [uninstall and reinstall the KB Star Banking app from the Google Play Store > reboot your phone > reissue your KB Kookmin Certificate] to continue using the app.

- If the app fails to update or install,
☞ Go to [Settings > Applications > Play Store > Storage] and clear data and cache, then try again.

- If you're unable to issue a KB Kookmin Certificate or log in, please: ☞ [Delete the KB Star Banking app > Reboot your phone > Reinstall the KB Star Banking app] and then try issuing the KB Kookmin Certificate again.

- If your Samsung smartphone's ID recognition isn't working properly, please: ☞ [Phone Settings > Applications > Camera > Camera Settings > Target Tracking AF 'ON'].

- General steps to take if you're not receiving real-time deposit/withdrawal push notifications:
☞ Go to [Settings > Applications > KB Star Banking > Notifications] on your phone and check whether "KB Bank" is allowed in the "Notifications" category.
☞ Go to [KB Star Banking Full Menu > Settings > App Settings > Clear Cache/Cookies > Clear Cookies/Data].
☞ Go to [KB Star Banking Full Menu > Notification Settings] and deactivate push notifications, then reactivate them.
☞ If push notifications still aren't arriving despite the above steps, delete KB Star Banking > reboot your phone > reinstall KB Star Banking. (Note: For AOS, the joint certificate will be deleted, so you'll need to reissue it.)

■ Notice on App Access Permissions

In accordance with Article 22-2 (Consent to Access Permissions) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and its Enforcement Decree, the following information provides information on the access permissions required to provide KB Star Banking services.

【Required Access Permissions】
• Phone: Verifies your phone number for mobile phone identity verification and accesses your phone's status and device information. This permission is used for services such as designated phone use, Smart OTP, mobile phone identity verification, version check in settings, (re)issuance of KB Kookmin Certificates, issuance of financial/joint certificates, and open banking.
• Installed Apps: This permission is used to detect potential threats among applications installed on your smartphone to prevent electronic financial transaction incidents.

【Optional Access Permissions】
• Storage: This permission is used for accessing device photos, media, and files. This permission is used for functions such as [saving, modifying, deleting, and reading certificates], [sending special remittance messages after transfers], [saving bankbook copies], and [saving transfer confirmations].
• Contacts (Address Book): This permission is used to retrieve contact information from the device when transferring contacts or sending transfer results via SMS. • Camera: Access to photo functions. This permission is used for ID card photos, convenience services (such as submitting documents to the bank, taking photos of utility bill payments, etc.), and copying QR certificates.
• Microphone: Access to video calls for non-face-to-face identity verification, quick transfers via voice, etc.
• Location: Access to device location information. This permission is used for services such as finding branches/automated teller machines and scheduling branch consultations.
• Physical Activity: Access to KB Daily Walking service.
• Notifications: Push notifications are used to receive ARS authentication, useful product/service/event information, and various financial benefits.

※ You can still use KB Star Banking services without consenting to optional access permissions. However, some required functions may be restricted. You can change these permissions in [Smartphone Settings > Applications > KB Star Banking > Permissions].

※ If you are using a smartphone with an Android OS lower than 6.0, all permissions may be required without the optional permissions. In this case, check if your smartphone's operating system can be upgraded to Android 6.0 or higher. After upgrading, you must delete and reinstall any previously installed apps to properly configure access permissions.

■ Notice

· Any personal internet banking customer using a smart device running Android version 5.0 or higher can use KB Star Banking.
※ KB Star Banking may not function properly if you are using a beta version of the OS. We recommend using the official version.

· You can install the app via your mobile carrier's 3G/LTE/5G or wireless internet (Wi-Fi). For 3G/LTE/5G, data charges may apply if your data usage exceeds the allotted capacity, depending on your plan.

· In accordance with guidelines from the Financial Supervisory Service, KB Star Banking cannot be used on smart devices that have been modified (jailbroken or rooted) to prevent electronic financial fraud. Even if certain apps are installed, the device may be recognized as modified. (Contacting the A/S center and resetting the device are recommended.)

as soon as you switch from Korean to English you loose 98% of your bank features. App security is non existent as biometrics can be bypassed by a simple pattern at any time.

KB국민인증서를 이용하고 계시다면 로그인 방식은 패턴 및 생체 중 선택하여 이용하실 수 있지만, 이체 등 업무를 이용하실 때에는 간편비밀번호 6자리를 교차 검증하여 보다 안전한 서비스를 제공하고자 하고 있습니다. 안심하고 이용하실 수 있는 서비스를 만들어나가겠습니다. 불편을 드려 죄송합니다.

Just like all Korean apps and internet websites, it's completely inconvenient to use. I guess I have to connect with the bank or something. I don't use Bank of Korea online banking because it's not convenient either. My American bank app is separate from the bank itself, and there were no problems setting it up from Korea. Korea needs to upgrade their technology systems. It also requires me to install Ahnlab, which I don't want. No good.

KB have redesigned their international remittance system, so even though I was previously able to send money abroad, I now cannot without visiting a bank. It would have been lovely to get an announcement about that BEFORE I traveled. Also, making someone come in in person for something they'd already set up is a waste of my time. Thanks for that.

안녕하세요 고객님~ KB스타뱅킹 이용에 불편을 드려 죄송합니다. 2021년 7월 비대면 외국환 송금 정책이 변경이 되어, 외국인 고객님의 경우 해외송금 지정코드(008) 등록이 필수로 선행되어야 합니다. 기존, 지정코드를 등록되어 있는 경우라면 문제없이 송금이 가능하였지만, 현재 소액송금의 경우 역시 지정코드 등록이 필요합니다. 영업점에 내점하지 않고도 KB스타뱅킹을 통한 비대면 신청이 가능하여, 외국인 국내보수 지급 지정코드(008) 신청 경로를 안내드리겠습니다.
