About this app

With the Clothing identification app, employees of healthcare institutions can find out the owner, the department and the room number of a garment. This is done by scanning an app or entering the last digits of the Ci Tag. Any remaining items of clothing can thus always be returned to the rightful owner. A legible mark in the clothing is therefore no longer necessary.

Privacy of the data
CleanLease guards the personal data of clients with the utmost care. We are a great advocate of omitting personal information on a clothing label or chip. This also has the advantage that the clothing does not have to be marked again when moving.

To use this app you must have login details and a password. These must be requested from CleanLease. With this user data, only the data of your own location can be requested in the app. Other data is not retrievable or visible via this app.

Ci Tag
The Ci Tag is a small and flexible brand containing an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) chip, which we apply to the clothing. Information on the chip can be read by means of radio waves. Garments can therefore be scanned and identified in large numbers through the laundry bags and containers. The Ci Tag has no influence on the wearing comfort.

How does it work?
All garments are provided with a Ci Tag by CleanLease. Each item is scanned several times during the washing process. This happens at important moments, such as when determining the cleaning process, sorting the laundry and packaging the clean laundry. This allows us to see exactly where a garment is located throughout the process.

CleanLease is the first laundry to use chip technology on this scale. Thanks to this technology, we can guarantee that every garment is washed correctly and returned to the right client. We call this innovation “Customization in Personal Wash”. In 2016 we received the prestigious Global Innovation Award for this.
