Update March 2025. The LKV Tierwohl app was developed to support the farmers of LKV Bayern e.V. with their operational self-control. Registration is very easy with the HI-Tier login data, no additional activation is necessary. In the app, farmers will find, in addition to the menu items for recording animal welfare indicators, a learning mode for body condition and lameness. With this quiz-like learning unit, farmers can train their eyes using sample images and videos. All required animal welfare indicators are clearly listed in the two recording areas (individual animal and herd). Here, too, there are high-quality comparison images and videos that you can use to better classify your own cows. The evaluation is then carried out in the LKV herd manager. The farmer can also save and/or print out a document here confirming the company's own inspection has been carried out.
