How LeadMeNot Works
Block or Monitor: Set boundaries with our automated blocker and get real-time alerts sent to you and your accountability partner(s). Set either Standard Rules or Custom Rules.

Standard Rules: We maintain a standard set of keywords and websites for the Unwanted Sexual Behavior use case to either be Blocked or Monitored or both.

Customizable Trigger Rules: Define the apps, websites, or activities that pose challenges. For example, "No more than 30 minutes on Facebook" will either Block Facebook, or send an alert to your Accountability Partner(s).

Parental Control: Become an accountability partner on your child's devices and receive alerts whenever they cross pre-set digital boundaries

Privacy Matters: Maintain control with exclusions and secure data handling.

LeadMeNot makes use of the following permissions for key functionality:

Accessibility Services
LeadMeNot uses the Accessibility Services permission. This allows us to record activity on your device including the names and titles of apps used, as well as in-app activity. We will either block this activity if you activated the Blocker functionality, and/or share these details with your selected Monitoring with accountability partners when your digital boundaries are crossed. You can choose to exclude specific apps and websites from having their activity collected.

Device Administrator
LeadMeNot uses the Device Administrator permission to ensure that the app is not bypassed or disabled. We don't use this for anything else.

Ratings and reviews

Tried other apps first, kept finding ways around them when I was desperate. App is very secure, I like the uninstall protection. At one point I had to reboot my phone though and had some trouble doing that through the uninstall protection if I had to guess, and it mistakes typing on my keyboard every once in a while as being triggered so it notifies my accountability partner when I put in certain words even on apps that I chose not to let it have access to. Rather be too safe than not enough tho

Lead Me Not is a good app. The site blockers work. It'll peg you for typing in certain words. It'll notify my wife of concerns, but says don't freak out before checking on the issue. There is even a spot to do some journaling of sorts if you so desire. And, to top it off, if you have an issue, email Jason. He responds almost instantly. He fixes anything or alleviates your concerns right away. Definitely recommend Lead Me Not.

I like the app, but it has a few issues that make it very frustrating. While I use it to block adult content, and it does so very well, there are certain key words and apps it full on doesn't work with. Google Play store is one. I tried to add key words to help prevent certain games from being downloaded. When that didn't work, I tried blocking the play store during certain times. Still didn't work. So I blocked it completely. Nothin. The app sometimes doesn't do anything that I tell it to do.
