Anatomy & Physiology is a line of science concerned with the bodily structure of living things. While Anatomy is the study of the structure of the internal body, Physiology is concerned with how these internal systems work. Without a deep understanding of the internal body, health professionals cannot truly evaluate, diagnose and treat illnesses. Anatomy & Physiology is the fundamental building blocks of medical practice.
Anatomy and physiology are two of the most basic terms and areas of study in the life sciences. Anatomy refers to the internal and external structures of the body and their physical relationships, whereas physiology refers to the study of the functions of those structures.
