Ratings and reviews

I keep trying to use their hands free options so I can multitask and practice more often. The AI registers that I'm speaking to it because the transcripts are recorded, but it sometimes doesn't respond to me until I've repeated myself like four times. It's incredibly frustrating and makes me not want to use the app. If they could just fix this it would be great. Edited to add: I already pay for the subscription and I am already using the paid services.

I think it's worth it. Especially if you don't have time to work with teachers or you may not have anyone to talk to every day. I speak two languages: one very well and one not so well; and pingo AI has been very helpful in keeping my languages intact and reminding me how to speak. Vietnamese does switch between northern and southern pronunciation. As for Chinese, it's good to practice to maintain proficiency. I use role playing a lot.

Got frustrated after I'd just said "nice to meet you" 3 times and the bot wanted me to say it again (even though it said excellent job). My level? Intermediate! Their support said you can tell it to skip but it still gets annoying. I had to change to level 4 to get any new vocab and even then it was still slow and annoying, so gonna look for smt more advanced. Might be a good app if you lack confidence but not great if you've already studied for years and passed N4. Good customer support tho.
