Welcome to the Avernum, world of mighty heroes and powerful magic, a land filled with creatures, deep mysterious dungeons and great treasures.

With gameplay similar to a popular magic war legends strategy game, it is up to you to strategically lead your heroes into battle and vanquish your enemies. As the leader of your kingdom, it is your duty to recruit and train a powerful army of heroes, each with unique abilities and strengths, to defend against the relentless forces of darkness that threaten the land of Avernum.

As you progress through the game, you'll have the opportunity to expand your kingdom and unlock new powerful spells and abilities. But be warned, your enemies will also grow stronger and more dangerous. It will take all of your strategic thinking and quick decision-making to defeat them and keep your kingdom safe.

The key to victory is to master the art of magic and strategically upgrade your heroes, giving them new weapons, armour and abilities to make them even more powerful. Your heroes will be your most valuable asset, each with their own backstory and personality, you will come to care for them as they fight bravely on your behalf. But remember, in this world of powerful magic and scary monsters, not every hero will survive every battle. So choose wisely, and lead your heroes to victory.

The fate of Avernum is in your hands. Will you rise to the challenge and become the ultimate hero, or will the forces of darkness prevail? The choice is yours in this epic magic war strategy game.

EDIT Dungeon is working now, many thanks I am nearing the end of the game with some sadness. All islands and bronze dungeons completed. There are some aspects of gameplay that remind me of Heroes of Might and Magic; my favourite ever PC game, without out the tedium of castle building. I have thoroughly enjoyed entirely FTP and will continue to build troops for fun from Explore events and chests. Thank you for a fun game. This would be 5* if there were more islands and dungeons.

So far so good. Let's see how it unwraps further down the story line. Update: downgraded to 3 stars from 5 due to: autocombat is as stupid as it can be and of course, greedy humans, money, money and money everywhere, every corner sells something. Upgrade: downgraded to 1 star due to the game doesn't work any more. It loads up to a certain point and stays there forever. Uninstall :(

I don't really mind that the game is 90% ads, 10% gameplay - well,I suppose I could use a few dozens % more gameplay, but anyway -, but not even the ads load everytime, it just tells you to come back after a minute and hours later, still same message... You're doing it wrong guys... Game has potential, but it's too annoying to do even daily quests or the 3h boosts that REQUIRE ads to be completed,so... NOPE
