Murder in the Alps is a unique adventure story game! 🔍 It's a fully interactive criminal case novel with amazing Hidden Object games features. ✈️ Journey back to the 1930s, solve countless unsolved mysteries and experience an adventure in the authentic atmosphere of the time!

The game's story is set in a hotel tucked away in one of the most beautiful locations in the Alps. 🏔️
But the happy adventure quickly reverses into criminal case. The tale begins when one of the guests goes missing, and it is not long before other strange events start to occur and fill the game with riddles and mystery games.
The main protagonist, Anna Myers, is a journalist from Zurich who wants to spend her holidays in a quiet and peaceful hotel. 🕵️‍♀️ But now Anna must end her holiday, find the answers and solve the criminal case in the mystery manor! With each new day the story thickens, and Anna gets into very dangerous adventure games and must decide which one of the ten Mystery characters could be the killer.

Ratings and reviews

The game seems quite promising at first. nice graphics and easy controls. Then it just turns into a set of pointless hidden object games interspersed with comic-strip type dialogue. The real killer for me though is that you run out of energy really quickly and either have to buy more, watch ads, or wait, but the rate at which energy is regained by waiting is really slow.

Good graphics and fun puzzles, but a couple of major flaws. You can't replay any of the conversations and sometimes they move quickly so you can easily miss what's going on. Recharging your energy is a major pain - 8 minutes per energy unit means it takes more than 24 hours to fully charge and even when fully charged you can only complete a couple of tasks (to do anything at all requires 5 energy units and most tasks require around 75 units). This makes the game very disjointed and frustratingly slow. Also with the long breaks between play and the missed conversations it is sometimes difficult to follow.

I updated my review because having to wait for or buy energy is annoying. This game could be great if I could pay to play it through, not have to scramble for energy, which refills excruciatingly slowly. That said, the game play itself is smooth and the graphics are lovely. The hidden object puzzles are interesting and varied. Please, developers, get rid of the energy requirement.
