this app is asking to turn off Private DNS setting. It is drawing too many adds. Without turning off this app cannot be used. it is a nuisance. I felt disparaging why British Council is beguiling readers with such app settings.. In spite of taking membership I cannot use the app.

Thank you for your feedback. Disabling Private DNS and using a VPN ensures seamless authentication and secure access through the institution's proxy. Only content-related traffic is routed this way, keeping your other online activities private and secure. Play Store Review team has approved our app, confirming it’s safe.

The purpose of an app like this is to read - at least for me. But MyLoft is not suitable for reading on tablets or phones. Opening a magazine (e.g. The Economist), forces you to read in a browser screen. This is slow on opening, slow with browsing, unresponsive, illegible and user unfriendly. Yes, you can zoom, like you would on a badly designed page that you have to read, but you can't read comfortably as you would in an app. You can't navigate well. Worse (well, equally bad), it doesn't work offline. So no taking your magazines with you when you fly. You always need the slow and redundant VPN connection. This app feels more like a proof of concept that shouldn't have made it to a real product than a real app. After RBDigital, I couldn't imagine that the British Council could find a worse library app. I'm sad to say that they have. (PS, @MyLoft, please don't paste your standard response that you're working hard; that's worse than no response).
