Tanjungpura University or abbreviated as Untan is a public university in the city of Pontianak, Indonesia. The location of the UNTAN campus is in the city of Pontianak and can easily be recognized by the Digulis Monument in front of the campus. The Digulis Monument is also known as the UNTAN Roundabout. Tanjungpura University was founded on May 20, 1959 under the name Daya National University under the auspices of the National Daya College Foundation as a private university. The founders of the institution are political figures and community leaders in West Kalimantan. Tanjungpura University PPID was formed based on Government Regulation number 61 of 2010 concerning the Implementation of Law number 14 of 2008 and Minister of Ristekdikti Regulation number 75 of 2016 concerning Public Information Services within the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, as well as Decree of the Head of PPID Ministry of Ristekdikti number 17/A/KPT/2018 concerning PPID within the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, to implement Law number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, which mandates that public information disclosure is a means of optimizing public oversight of the administration of the state and other public bodies and everything that impacts the public interest. To provide these Public Information Services, Tanjungpura University has issued Rector's Decree Number 982/UN22/KP/2021 concerning Information and Documentation Management Officers. This service is a web-based facility for applicants for public information about Tanjungpura University which is managed by the Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID) of Tanjungpura University.
