This application is a guide for the recognition of more than 30 species of edible fungi present in the forested environments of Patagonia. It includes photos, an interactive identification key, descriptions of the species, information for the curious about the Fungi kingdom, and criteria and recommendations for a sustainable harvest. Patagonia fungi app is part of the scientific technological project "Patagonia fungi, trails and flavors", dedicated to studying and transferring to the community what we know about biology, ecology, nutritional and nutraceutical characteristics and uses of wild and cultivated mushrooms in the Andean region Patagonian. By sharing the photos and notes of your findings, you can nurture the gallery of this application and contribute to a better understanding of these organisms, which have diverse, important and irreplaceable roles in ecosystems.
