About this app

PilotTraining.ca provides online instruction and preparation for aviation written examinations. Our courses can be used as credit toward the Transport Canada requirement for ground school and we'll give a recommendation for the exam provided the student proves he is ready for the exam.

Much more than just practice questions online, we offer the most convenient way to complete ground school. Since 1999, thousands of students have completed their written examinations thanks to pilottraining.ca!

Courses are completed by using multimedia tools such as video (over 700 hours worth now on the site), audio mp3, presentations, animations, web pages, and automatic correcting and referenced practice questions. Tied together using a learning management system that is also compatible with mobile devices.

Ratings and reviews

The app does exactly what it says. Although, when I'm watching the training videos I like to go in and out of the app to take notes, however, after going in and out of the app a few times it just freezes and I have to close and open it again, not a big deal but annoying to scroll through all the lessons to find the video I was on. That's the only bug I've found. (though I mostly use the website on my computer) one suggestion I have would be to add your progress like it has on the website.

This is a review of the app only. I used the website itself on my laptop and passed my ppl written without a problem. I also see myself using harvs air for any other ratings I'll be pursuing in the future. The app is more like a sub-par video/audio player, and for my situation i just ended up not using it. I probably would have used it more if i could access the flash cards on it.

Would be nice if we could download it on window computers and save video offline. it's quite hard sometimes to watch and understand through a phone screen. It would be nice to also have the quizz in the app. otherwise I like the app and the audio courses.
