The virtual Black community is at the mercy of platforms controlled by people who don't understand us. Our voices, our content, and our creators can be suppressed at the snap of a finger because many Black issues are seen as controversial or political. Moderation systems don't protect us and algorithms don't understand us. It's because the people running these platforms simply don't "get" us.

Plaitx is about building community, supporting each other, connecting with friends and family, groups, and recycling Black dollars back into our communities. It's a mobile marketplace and home for the backbone of the Black community. It's an uncensored, independent Black space, created by us, for us.
