The Profile Energy Monitor application allows users with an Android device to download survey data from their Profile Portable Energy Recorder via its USB connection.

Analysis of downloaded data is provided by way of a survey summary report showing the kWh, kVAh & kVArh total
consumption for the downloaded period as well as the peak period demand (kW, kVA & kVAr), and a range of charts
displaying kW, kVA, kVAr demand or period amps, volts & power factor.

Once downloaded, survey data files can also be emailed, or copied to a PC or laptop for analysis within the Profile’s
ProPower 3 analysis software.

Instructions;
To download data from the Profile Energy Monitor;
1) Connect the phone/tablet to the Profile using a suitable USB cable, ensuring that the Profile is powered.

2) Start the app and touch the 'Log On' button (allowing the app access to your device's USB socket it necessary).
The app will connect to the Profile and display live readings.
If any connection problems occur please check the Profile is powered, the cable connection is stable and ensure that the app has been given permission to access the device's USB port (see screen shots).

3) Touch the 'Download Data' button to set the start date & end dates of the energy use survey you wish to download.

4) Click the 'Download Data' button to begin the survey download.

The downloaded survey data is saved to the device’s memory and can be analysed within the app or copied to a PC for more detailed analysis in the ProPower 3 software (ver 3.60+).


Requirements:
Device with Android version 4.4* or above and a USB socket is required.
Profile Portable Energy Recorder with USB socket.**
A suitable device to Profile USB cable.***
USB access must be allowed in order for the app to operate correctly (see final screen shot).

* The Profile Energy Monitor app may work on earlier versions of Android but these are not supported and intermittent issues may be encountered.
**The Profile Energy Monitor application can not be used on older Profile hardware that does not have a USB port (older Profiles can be upgraded with a USB port if required - please contact us for more information) .
***The Profile has a standard USB-Mini-B connector. Most Android phones & other devices contain a USB-Micro-B connector. The Lindy cable part numbers 31717, 31718 & 31719 have been found to be suitable in these circumstances.
Please note that this is not a recommendation and the specific requirements of individual phones/tablets should be checked before purchasing a suitable cable.
