Ubukhulu baleso memori buvimbela bukhukhulayo kusuka ezinkulu kuya ezincane. Imidwebo yememori emikhulu izoba ubufakazi bokuhamba komkhawulo we-DRAM.
Ukuvimbela imemori encane kungabonisa umkhawulokudonsa obaluleke kakhulu (isb. Ngezansi kwe-1MB kuma-CPU OMAP 4460), njengoba idatha izokwenza ku-cache ye-CPU.
