NOTE: Scatterbrain will not work without a 3rd party app like Subrosa (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.ballmerlabs.subrosa&pli=1). The Scatterbrain Router app must be installed first before any 3rd party apps due to a limitation in android permissions.

Scatterbrain is a multi-protocol delay tolerant network router that allows building distributed applications that communicate over long distances using only short range radio like wifi and bluetooth. This allows messages and data to spread throughout a wide area like rumors or viruses, leveraging human movement instead of long range network connections. Messages are stored on your phone and forwarded to people you pass on the street.

By itself this application runs in the background while exposing an API to build rich media applications that transparently leverage the Scatterbrain network for censorship resistant and disaster ready communication.
