About this app

The official companion app for Shot Scope GPS devices, including X5, H4, G5 and V3, is available to download on Android devices.

The app comprises features designed to help you get the most from your Shot Scope device. Connect to your Shot Scope device and update courses prior to playing to ensure you benefit from up-to-date course mapping. Any firmware updates will also be available via the app.

Simply download the app, register/login, connect your device and begin.
For Performance Tracking devices only: After playing golf, connect to your Shot Scope watch and upload your round to view performance data. Analyse over 100 statistics on your game, including Strokes Gained analytics, club distances, hole overviews and more. Use these statistics to learn and understand your game, to structure practice sessions or inform decision making on the course.

works well but has flaws. You can't set up 18 holes at start if course has only 9 holes (or loops of 9 holes) watch asks if you want to play back 9 after first 9 completed. Sounds ok but in practice it's not. You have to go through a rescan for starters. The sensors came an be a bit hit and miss, often had to put the club against the strap to get the next shot recorded. finally sometimes reads the wrong club altogether. However, when you get it to work for a round the data is very useful.

The app is fine, the GPS on my watch is fine. However, I bought the watch mainly for the sensors for shot tracking etc. The sensors are pretty awful, they miss fair too many shots to be of any real use and logging a round requires you to edit and add shots after you have finished. I would say on average the sensors are missing 10-12 shots per round. If I could go back in time I would not purchase Shot Scope at all, as there are better GPS solutions out there.

it's OK. my watch loses GPS most rounds. so I have to try to reconnect, often walking up the 1st or 2nd hole, or anywhere really, so I lose part of the round. I tend now not to bother with the tracking because of this and sometimes just use it for rough yardages. Not really very accurate either in picking up the shots played. sometimes misses some, but more often adds many more. I do though think it's very clever being able to find shots at all.
