Silent Boot mutes your phone on shutdown to keep it silent on boot and restores previous volume settings after startup is complete.

This app is great and does exactly what I want. When I go to turn off my phone it automatically turns volume to silent so that when I turn the phone back on there is no T-Mobile startup sound. Just remember to turn your volume back to where you'd like it. Also it provides you a notification that it's working however if you want you can turn it off

Nice idea. It only works on Android 7 if you enable quickboot. Quickboot only works when the phone is off for short periods and so overnight, despite having this app, the startup jingle is still full volume. Looks like rooting the phone is the only answer...sigh. Shame this app is needed at all really. You used to have full volume control until Google took over. Good idea though :)

Effective and unobtrusive. Great on Android Jelly Bean. Version 2.3 still works *almost* perfectly on my current Android Pie device. When doing a standard reboot, I usually hear a fraction of a second of the shutdown jingle but that's it. Not bad for an app that Google says no longer supports my current device! I enabled permissions (Do Not Disturb, and change system settings), turned off Android sleep/battery optimization, and checked the first box in the app settings (to enable Silent Boot).
