National Invasive Alien Species Surveillance System
The surveillance system collects and records data on the appearance in the environment of invasive alien species throughout Romania, in order to prevent their spread. The Romania Invasive Species application supports experts in recording these data and aggregating them in the National Management System
The implementation of the surveillance system for the detection of invasive alien species in Romania is an obligation established by Article 14 of Regulation (EU) no. 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species.
