Unlike other soundboard-style apps, Syrinscape uses editable and adaptable libraries of sound files – SoundSets – to 'improvise' soundscapes, allowing users a great degree of control over what they are hearing, while requiring almost no interaction while the app runs.

The Syrinscape Fantasy Player app is optimized for Android Tablets, giving users the ability to playback Syrinscape SoundSets with a beautiful, easy-to-use interface. The Syrinscape Fantasy Player comes with two free SoundSets ready to download, then you can purchase additional SoundSets as you need. All the fantasy SoundSets you buy from the Google Play Store or the Syrinscape Store will be available across all devices you own, so you can pick up whichever device is to hand and immerse yourself in whatever sound world you desire.

Overall this works fine, and I like the ability to use it from my phone to a Bluetooth speaker I have in my table. That said, having to leave my phone on and unlocked, and not being able to switch apps, is rather unacceptable in 2024. If I need to look up something for the game, the audio stops, until I return to the app. The UI is okay, but I wish it would open to a default I set instead of whatever's first I'm the list (currently Vecna, which I have no use for).

I've been using this program for ten years - amazing variety and control over your sound effects and music. No ads, new sound sets monthly, with lots of one-shot sounds to add surprise to an encounter. Sounds can be added, dropped, or changed with a click. Marvelous at the gaming table, it's also great for just listening to something interesting or calming when reading, writing, doing things around the house, or working out. (Ever gone for a run when it sounds like a dragon is chasing you?!)

I wanna love this app, but there's so much I dislike for $20 a month. That's too much for just sounds and I can't use it if my phone is locked. Music automatically stops when you lock phone. So if you're playing a 3-4 hour session it really drains your battery. Also, I play PF2E so I wish there was more stuff for that on it.

No longer require SoundSets to be manually installed, required sounds will be downloaded on demand.
"Download Everything" setting. Downloads ALL SoundSets automatically.
Add Now Playing auto campaign, that is populated with SoundSets that have some playing Elements.
Do not adjust element volume while scrolling.
Respect screen safe areas.
Allow 8 (up from 2) overlapping instances of the same sample.
