An app to show Tata Steel Sailing Club's start sequence. It shows a countdown timer and flag hoists with sound signals and spoken text. There are multiple configurations preinstalled, a single general handicap fleet, a two class open meeting and a regatta.
When the first fleet starts the clock becomes a countup timer, and can be used as a clock for recording lap and finish times.
The configurations are stored in an internal database. The individual configurations can be edited. The set of configurations can be replaced by downloading a configuration file from a website.
It includes individual and general recall processes as well as postpone, and both RRS and Club versions of the individual and general recalls.
It interfaces by Bluetooth to the committee boat hooter system to automate the sound signals whilst indicating the appropriate flag to hoist. when finishing a race it can display finish times either by displaying the elapsed time when the hooter button is pressed or by an onscreen button which will also sound the hooter.
There's an option for manual hoists by tapping the flag, and to pause and skip forward the timer for demonstrating the start sequence without having to wait the several minutes.
