TaalMala provides personalized accompaniment of Tabla, Pakhawaj, Manjeera, Tanpura, SwarMandal and Lehra/Nagma on Santoor and Harmonium. Use TaalMala for your daily riyaaz or live concerts. With high-quality Tabla, Pakhawaj, Manjeera, Tanpura, SwarMandal, Santoor and Harmonium sounds sampled from real instruments, huge library of 360+ pre-composed Taals, 246+ pre-composed Lehra/Nagma compositions and 600+ SwarMandal sequences in 60+ most popular Ragas, TaalMala provides a complete practising solution for any Indian musician.

With TaalMala Composer, you can compose Taals, Lehras/Nagmas and SwarMandal patterns by simply entering the notation. For example, enter "Dha Dhin Dhin Dha" and TaalMala will play those bols, 1 beat each. Enter "S R G M P M G R" and TaalMala will play those notes. With a powerful sequencer, you can compose your own sequences of fixed or randomized Taal, Lehra/Nagma and SwarMandal patterns.

If you have the Windows desktop version of TaalMala, you can import your compositions from Windows to your Android device and play them on the Android device.

Without a paid subscription, the application has following limitations:

- Playback restricted to 15 minutes every 2 hours
- Cannot save custom compositions
- Cannot record and share
- Trial expires after 14 days from first use.

To unlock full functionality and remove the play-time limit, click "Upgrade" option on the main screen and purchase a subscription. A subscription removes the play-time limit, allows you to save the custom compositions, enables recording and sharing and entitles you to future updates.

Ratings and reviews

There should be an option to first select which taal to choose, and then another for variations. I cannot try 100 different options to play a standard teentaal or ektaal. Also, the taal should play continously when a different variation is played. Please have a look at apple's iTabla Pro, and use some of their features which makes it a delight to use

The app is wonderful for the daily riyas along with excellent combination of harmonium with tabla or harmonium with dholak. The only challenge which I still see in this app and the owners of this app have not changed or improved is the recording feature. So when you record a song and then listen to the song, the voice and the beats do not match.

I started learning new variations of all vilambit taal...enjoy singing with them.... Good development... liked it. Thanks. Will like to know the procedure to update the app if purchased from the taalmala website because directly updating the app along with other app caused a technical error and it was difficult to correct the problem..I now fear to update it...
