TechDisc for Android makes it simple to connect to your TechDisc and begin measuring Spin, Speed, Nose angle, Hyzer angle, Launch angle and Wobble at home in your net or at the practice field.

TechDisc is an innovative new tool to Know Your Throw, with hardware and software designed by disc golfers to accelerate every athlete's progression in the sport.

A suite of sensors permanently attached to the center of a golf disc measures the forces and angles put on a disc. The data is transmitted to the app and uploaded to the cloud to crunch the data and determine throw type (Backhand, Forehand, Thumber, etc.) and angle (Flat, Hyzer, Anhyzer) to easily sort and filter your throws.

Measure your drive, upshots, standstills, hyzers, rollers and anything else you want to improve. Find average spin for your forehand shots and backhand shots with a tap. Know if that 70 MPH throw was a fluke or if you can count on it consistently.

Ratings and reviews

The product is 5 stars, but the app is merely decent. It takes a pretty long time to open under the best of circumstances. Opening on wifi is somewhat painless, but get to the course and try to fire it up, and"Quick" is not a thing. I wish you would offline mode or something that just relies on local resources.

**Please add "sort by" feature for each column of the Throws page, ie; sort by distance where the column can order the throws least distance to greatest, etc. ** The instant feedback the Techdisc provides is invaluable. You get the precise data of your throws moments after each throw. Tweak one aspect of your swing and know the effect of it within seconds. It's cliche to say, but the Techdisc is an actual game changer.

Update 08/2025: still doesn't work. Still using browser. Update 11/2024: still doesn't allow login, and still requires far more permissions than it needs to for what it does (ad/referrer ID). The browser app which I use in the meantime is limited to chromium based browsers, and with a limited feature set. Still 1 star until this is fixed. The app will not let me log in. Dev in-app message for this failure is that uninstalling and reinstalling the app should fix most issues. It does not.
