Iwashi le-Chess wuhlelo lokusebenza olulula kodwa olunamandla lokulinganisa isikhathi, olwakhelwe hhayi kuphela imidlalo yabadlali ababili njenge-shogi ne-chess, kodwa futhi nemidlalo yabadlali abangu-3-4 kanye nezimo ezihlukahlukene zegeyimu yebhodi.

- Imodi ye-Byoyomi
Ngemva kokuphela kwesikhathi esiyinhloko somdlali, umnyakazo ngamunye kufanele kudlalwe phakathi nenani elinqunyiwe lamasekhondi (isb., imizuzwana engama-30).
Isikhathi se-byoyomi nalapho siqala singenziwa ngokwezifiso kumdlalo ngamunye.
- Ukulawula Isikhathi Sokukhubazeka
Yenza ngokwezifiso izilungiselelo zesikhathi ezihlukene zomdlali ngamunye ukuze udale umdlalo olinganiselayo noma oyinselele usebenzisa noma yimaphi amafomethi angenhla.
Uhlelo lokusebenza lulungele ukufana okubucayi kwe-chess ne-shogi, kanye nemidlalo yebhodi yabadlali abaningi enabadlali abangu-3–4.
