Update October 8, 2024: Was working better for a whole but can't get it to open today. Tried reinstalling but no luck. Will try again in a few days. 2023: Dropping down to 3 stars due to frequent failure to load. When it works, it's easy to navigate and the stories are of high quality. Would also prefer dark mode, though, to save battery life on my phone.

The reading experience leaves a bit to be desired. The worst is its progressive loading of content: it looks like an article just ends out of nowhere until you tap around in the blank space. Next is the frequent opening full webpages within the app instead of just the article content, but that has a tradeoff: won't use phone's dark mode, and I can't easily resize text, but the whole article loads, and I don't have to click around randomly without hitting an ad to get the next paragraph.

I'm new in Philadelphia. This app has been a huge help to me, especially in coronavirus times... introducing me to the city in a way I can't now do on foot. Inquirer is a fine paper, and the app makes it accessible. BUT, the method for emailing yourself an article is wildly erratic! Most of the time, there is no way for me get the URL of an article to keep... HELP! Android 8.1 phone, Firefox browser.
