Permissions:
The "Read the contents of USB storage" permission is to read the images you pick for backgrounds.
The network permissions are to display non-invasive ads and for the online background gallery.
In app billing is for the optional Time Until Premium upgrade.
The shortcut permission is only for future versions of the app that may use it.

Ratings and reviews

Chose this as it had the best reviews, and whilst I do like the app in general, the only problem is that it's an hour wrong!!! It's currently just after 10:30am in the UK and I'm counting down to something at 9:30am on a future date but it says it's 23hours and 54mins away instead of 22hours 54mins! Maybe it'll be right when the clocks change in October..

Almost excellent. I don't agree with the arithmetic that the author has used when truncating displays to a single time unit. For example, an event is shown as occuring in 400 days 12 hours. If you then select 'days' only it shows 400 days. So where have the extra 12 hours gone? The event will in fact happen on the 401st day if that's the resolution you've chosen. The app shouldn't just discard the extra portion of a day, but add it in to the day total. Otherwise a good app.

Amazing app. It would be good if 'albums' could be created of certain countdowns so you can see them be group/tag/category such as all birthdays etc. Also creating a backup forces it to be shared but it would be good to just save this on the device documents, automatic backups would be good too. Finally, a home screen widget option would be a perfect addition to this app!
