mostly functional. occasionally, I'll have two students message me at once, and the alert is gone when I open the app to look at the first one. also, multiple students have had messages not show up when they looked later, and I didn't receive them. it's not frequent, but it's nowhere close to as rare as it should be.

Like a prior reviewer said, most of the time now the app version struggles to load the messages screen, and I haven't received mobile notifications for chats in over a year. I shouldn't have to rely on the email app on my phone to get notified every time a student messages me, as that means I'll have to spend more time deleting those emails later. I tried whitelisting Wyzant on my VPN app (Mullvad), turning off my private DNS, and it still wasn't able to load the messages screen.

It's good overall, but it can be very spotty with loading the content of messages. I have been tutoring on wyzant for a few years at this point and the app has never worked "properly" in regards to messages. It is very frustrating to know I have messages from students but not be able to read or respond to them in a timely fashion without going to a computer and logging in. Update: 2 years later. Now I am getting zero notifications, missing new client contacts, and my account is suffering.
