ABB, a global leader in the flow measurement solutions for water & waste water industry has introduced a Smart phone based device management tool, namely “Velox” App, for its new generation Electromagnetic flow meter Aquamaster-4 . Velox (Latin word meaning swift) smart phone/ tablet app, enables water utilities to increase the productivity (do more in less time) of their work force whilst reducing human errors during management of their network using ABB Aquamaster-4 flow meters.

Secure: ABB Velox uses NFC communications which is protected by NIST approved strong encryption to avoid eavesdropping or tampering. ‘Use Pin’ function allow users to lock/unlock the Velox app with their personalised pin. ‘Master password’ allows users to set an unique password for all their flowmeters.

Contactless: ABB Velox uses contactless interface using industry standard Near Field Communication (NFC). The user can now conveniently manage the device without worrying about the special cables & imperfect connections in the field with device.

View and Share: Now view and share the process values, configuration file and the diagnostics in an easy and intuitive way while on the move

Configure online / offline: Now make device configuration in the comfort of your office, save configuration template for different devices & download to the device at click of button in your app in the field.

Chart and retrieve data: View & manage the logger data of Aquamaster-4 by downloading it in CSV file format

Easy and intuitive : The Velox app is easy and intuitive to use, allowing water utilities in deskilling for their asset management requirement and also engage younger generations.
