At Villy, we create the framework to foster community connections, normalising support, and re-creating purpose. Our focus is on closing the gaps between Government policy, allied health supports and the lived experience of modern-day family life.
Villy also focuses on supporting our Defence families acknowledging the unique and isolating challenges they often face. We support both veterans and Defence families to grow organically and foster a pay-it-forward mind-set.
MORE ABOUT THE CAUSE
- Assists in identifying any potential unmet mental health needs
- Provides support to seek self-help or external support
- Local support service directory
- Transition support from the medical model of care into daily living with the assistance of trauma informed psychosocial support and service
- Practical day to day support for people and families to reduce the load on local health services from decline in health due to lack of community or social engagement
- Scaffold support to empower and enable individuals to relearn their own personal limits and live with purpose and a renewed sense of belonging
- Provides a renewed sense of purpose for individuals needing to reconnect following a life changing event, injury, or trauma
- Extended support to the broader community (not limited to veteran/military personnel and families)
