I love the look and functionality of the new update (I don't care about the missing schedule), but, recently, every movie fails, saying "an error occurred." I've tried it on 2 very different Android devices with multiple resets of every kind. When I log in, for less than a second, it flashes a webpage failing to redirect to Adobe Pass. I can watch host intros and clips just fine, so I think it's having trouble getting verification from my cable provider. I would rate it highly, if it worked. My one gripe about the update is the shading on the thumbnail. It darkens toward the top left, and, since actors faces are usually in the top half of the frame, it is often impossible to tell, at a glance, who's in it.

As others previously mentioned, the app is no longer useful beyond watching movies. I used the schedule frequently to set my DVR and my viewing schedule and that can be done via the cable app or TV. The TCM schedule was great and more convenient as you could easily see and navigate a week of programming. I also miss being able to set favorite actors. In software development there is a thing called user experience and the latest TCM app update fails in that regard.

Happy New Year! We love TCM. I did a system update on my Android on 01/01/2019. So I needed to update the TCM app as the old version would crash. Now it works fine. Screen and video seem more vibrant. The close caption coloring is now larger but I dont care for the colors. Many of the films are black & white on TCM. I feel that subdued coloring at least a black background would be better, white or yellow lettering. I dont like the spinning large circle that appears when app is busy on screen.
