Ratings and reviews

The ads can be really intrusive. They don't always play muted, and it can be loud. They've had some sexually inappropriate ads as well. The fast pass is also predatory. If you don't have a subscription, the past passes cost 7 coins. You can only buy coins in multiples of 10, but not 70 coins, which will leave you with useless ones unless you download and play other affiliated games or buy more coins. The comics do have a lot of variety and complexity, which is nice.

I have been using Webtoons for years, and it's honestly such a good place to support the creators while exploring new comics. the image quality is good, ads are at a minimum (the only ad I've seen was for another comic that was easy to close), and there's so many to choose from. my only complaint is that downloaded comics try to draw from data first when there's low signal (such as a road trip). aside from that, it's almost perfect

The ads in the app have gotten SO disruptive. You scroll down in an episode and suddenly you're bombarded with a super loud ad that shuts your own music off. It's so jarring and it makes me want to just stop using it altogether. I understand companies need to use advertising, but this is way too intrusive and completely ruins the experience. There is a reason libraries are quiet.
