This app is half-baked. Obvious basic features are missing. 1) You can't add or delete your own categories for food items, and there are categories for non-food, like baby care. 2) It doesn't combine the same ingredient in the grocery list. If you have 4 recipes needing 1 lb of chicken you'll get 4 1lb entries. 3) There is no way to browse other people's recipes. 4) You can't add your own measurement units. Has some potential but this is basically a beta right now.

I got this app because I usually spend a few hours each week creating a menu for all of our family meals, and then making my own grocery list from that menu. I upgraded to pro so that grocery list would be automatically generated, but it doesn't work. I created the recipe as the instructions stated, but still nothing. So, all I have, is a menu that is typed instead of hand written, with which I will still have to write out a grocery list.

I've been using this app for a few years now and I absolutely love it! I saved all my favorite meals with ingredients so when I go to make my weekly meal plan, I just select meals I previously saved, then add any ingredients I need to my grocery list. Recently the app developer has made some very nice updates to the app, but one feature stopped working for me. I contacted the developer and he replied so quickly and had the issue fixed in less than a day! That's excellent customer service!
