"Time window Weimar" takes you on a journey through the Weimar modernity.
By 1900, the city proved to be highly ambivalent: classic worship and conservative attitudes shaped Weimar as well as the will to progress and the ideas of the European avant-garde. Learn about important events, actors and places this time in eleven selected stations.
Using a map to navigate to the different stations in the urban space. Historic photographs that have arisen precisely at the locations of the stations gives you a direct comparison of past and present. Open the time window at the stations and let them merge with the presence of the historical accounts using augmented reality. Thus, you can see what happened in 1900 at the locations.
About text and audio guide provides information on the events on the historic pictures. This content was written by students of the Humboldt High School in Weimar and eingesprochen. The app was developed as part of an educational project of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Civic Education.
