2nd UPDATE: Back to its old tricks again. 3 stars. UPDATE: Per the developer, these issues have indeed been fixed in the latest version, so I have upped my rating to 4 stars. Just ok news app. But can't turn off notifications. Can't search for articles. If i press a section tab that is locked, it logs me in and unlocks it but moves me back to the main tab. This happens most days after booting up my phone and starting the app for the first time that day.

You can turn off notifications by tapping the Settings icon (the gear) in the app. When signing in, the menu reloads to clear the lock icons, which moves the user back to latest news on the first tab. Unable to replicate the login (including cold boot tests) or search issues.

Now you have to sign in every time you use the app. Yes there is free content but I am a subscriber, people should be able to sign in once and the app should remember and verify like every other app in the world.

This app is terrible. Im trying to support a local Tucson publication. (Especially in an Era where most news source is free) and the app won't even let me login to subscribe to their content. This app definitely needs a good update to work. Such a shame...
