★ Top Ranked on Google Play, June 2012 — #1 in the USA, Germany, France and the United Kingdom (casual games category).
In Elastic World you don't control the ball. You control the weird elastic shapes around it.
Expand and collapse these jelly blobs to make the ball bounce in different directions and heights, and guide it to the floating star. It sounds strange, but it takes about ten seconds to pick up. The physics engine is nice and responsive — it feels almost real.
Each level gets more challenging than the last, and some of them need genuinely quick reflexes as you race the clock. The faster you reach the star, the better your rank.
A FAIR WARNING
This game is hard. Some levels will have you retrying for twenty minutes. If you are the sort of person who throws a phone across a room, please play something gentler on a bad day. You have been warned.

BUILT IN 2012 REBUILT FOR TODAY
Elastic World was six months of nights and weekends alongside a full-time job, and the game and its level designer run to more than 28,000 lines of code, back in the days where there was no AI helping out. More than a decade later it has been brought back to life for current phones and tablets: full-screen play with proper support for notches and gesture bars, and fixed layout and graphics on high-resolution screens. The levels are untouched.
It used to be a paid game. Now it's free, for anyone who wants it.
