About this app

DONATE version turns off button backlights.

If the background is a gradient instead of just black, you need to: turn off "Force GPU rendering" in your phone's "Developer"
settings.

To find the settings menu on S5, just hold in the multitasking key (left soft key at bottom of phone).

If you have a problem, email me! This app is intended to be used with the phone plugged in. In "dim" mode the battery will last longer, but having it on all night will drain at least half your battery if you aren't charging.

This is a simple, retro-style night clock. It will display the time in big, bold letters (three fonts and any color to choose from), along with having a built-in alarm (or you can use your stock android alarm, it it's supported). Since the screen will stay on while the application is open (unless you manually turn it off), it is highly recommended that you keep your phone plugged in to charge otherwise it will drain the battery.

Some features include:
-Silence notifications
-Tap to dim screen to lowest possible setting
-Launches when put into the multimedia dock (also has flipped mode for use without a dock)
-Font and color settings (when choosing text color, drag your finger away from the center to change transparency)
-Built in alarm (or use stock Android alarm, if your phone supports it)
-Show next alarm on clock screen

My only complaint is the inability to turn the illuminated buttons off. Worked very well under 4.4, but under 6.0.1 the buttons stay lit no matter what. They do dim when the display is dimmed, but still too bright at night. That said, I've tried other night clocks (including Dream Time) with the same results. Apparently, Android doesn't want the lights to go out... Update: Upgraded to Android 8.1. Menu is gone....

Sweet and simple. Just a clock. No ads, no fancy features. Two brightness settings. I can see it on my bedside table at night when travelling and it is not too bright. Downside: I cannot figure out how to access app settings on Samsung J3 or J7. Author says to use multi-window button but that only accesses multi-window functions. So I can't use the included alarm functions. Minus one star. Thank you!

Samsung Note 5. Negative reviews from lazy people who couldn't be bothered with reading instructions or pressing their phone's buttons. It took me five seconds to figure this app out. Long press the back button to bring up the simple and easy to use menu where you can change the font, color and set an alarm. Then there are a few settings that are self-explanatory. There's also a dimmer that's as simple as touching the screen to dim, and touching it again to return to normal.
