The climate app in Styria: join in, become a “KLIMA CHAMPION” and get great prizes! 20 communities are already there.

At KLIMA CHAMPS you get points for every environmentally conscious action. Not only are you doing good things for the climate, you can also win cool prizes.

Download the app now and join in!

Whether it is proper waste separation, switching to LED or cotton bags instead of plastic bags: for every climate-protecting activity, you will receive points on your KLIMA CHAMPS points account. With this you take part in the competitions of the communities. Regardless of which region you are at home in: You can take part in every KLIMA CHAMPS competition, collect points and win!

The focus is different: sometimes it's about environmentally friendly mobility, sometimes about household chores or saving electricity. Finally, the "KLIMA CHAMPION" is chosen from each competition! You can win regional prizes such as gift boxes, shopping vouchers and much more.

A new competition starts every week - how long you can collect points varies. Just make yourself smart in the app!

Can I use KLIMA CHAMPS all over Austria?

For the time being, the app is only available in Styria. But it shouldn't stay that way! The aim is to expand KLIMA CHAMPS to other municipalities and federal states. The more the better - because climate protection is teamwork!

Ardning, Deutschlandsberg, Eibiswald, Fohnsdorf, Frauental, Gröbming / Mitterberg-St. Martin, Haselsdorf-Tobelbad, Judenburg, Kindberg, Knittelfeld, Leibnitz, Preding, Rohrbach an der Lafnitz, St. Barbara im Murzal, St. Johann in der Haide, Thörl, Trofaiach, Voitsberg and Zeltweg.

We collected all activities in KLIMA CHAMPS together with you before the app started. The suggestions submitted were checked by our internal team, together with experts from energy consulting, and the most relevant results were added to the list.

About KLIMA CHAMPS

KLIMA CHAMPS is an initiative of 20 Styrian communities with the aim of raising awareness and promoting commitment to climate protection.

Gerolf Wicher with GW24 Kommunikationberatung in Graz is the idea finder for the interactive app. Wicher started the project financed by the municipalities and the state of Styria in 2019. The app was developed together with a team of experts from consulting, app development, graphics and text.
