The Simple Scanner is a PDF document scanner application that turns your phone into a portable scanner. you can scan documents, photos, receipts, reports, or just about anything. The scan will be saved to the device in image or PDF format. Name and organize your scan to a folder, or share it in the following ways:

For users above Android 11, files are stored in a private directory and cannot be changed. This is determined by Google's latest storage policy. For mobile phones below Android 11, the external storage option can still be selected.

Ratings and reviews

Great app, very easy to use and send PDF files to email etc, BUT... Word of warning (& why I've removed 2 stars) it will happily let you scan several documents for free then WITH NO WARNING) the entire app will lock down, you can't scan any documents or access any previously scanned documents and you HAVE TO PAY. It's not the paying that I object to as it's exactly what I need and I now have the paid version, it's the not having any warning or the option to still access previous scans.

I had this app on my old phone and have used it for years. I liked it so much I paid for the pro version. I recently got a new phone and installed the newest free version just to get started. now when I hit the button just to do normal stuff I get an ad that unexpectedly auto plays LOUD sound. Like HEART ATTACK loud. this is horribly disruptive and embarrassing if you're in a meeting or a quiet place. Now I think I'll look around for a better alternative for long-term use.

I wish there's was a way to not have sounds on this app I will be trying to scan a document and all the sudden very loud ads be playing in the background in the middle of a meeting . I don't mind having ads if you're not getting premium but this very annoying. I might have to delete too bad everything else works perfectly i love the app if it wasn't for that
